Meet Dr. Rich

    Dr. Rich has over thirty years of leadership experience in several different industries to include the United States military.  He holds a BBA in Management, an MBA in Strategic Leadership, and earned a PhD with Honors in Organization and Management.  He served over ten years in the United States Air Force which included two tours in Operation Desert Storm.  Dr. Rich is the first among his peers to establish a scientific link between ethical leadership and organizational performance which led him to write the Ethical Leader Behavior Theory.  He is also an Information Technology risk management and security controls expert and was distinguished as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) finalist in 2013 and 2015.

    Throughout his career, he found himself encouraging people to improve their lives.  He realized that an organization’s true success is inherently dependent on their commitment to prioritizing their people ahead of the business.  As his career progressed, Dr. Rich noticed a depressing and recurring theme where corporate leaders consistently had difficulty with this concept which was always at the expense of employees.  In 2011, he left the corporate arena and began pursuing his dream to make a difference by promoting this understanding to organizations, leaders, and professionals.  Dr. Rich utilized his professional experience and academic research to develop his coaching practice and systematic Ethical Leader Behavior theory with practical application to help educate leaders.  He spends a fair amount of time speaking in organizations dynamically engaging his audiences by evangelizing his leadership coaching philosophies.

    Rich’s coaching philosophy stems from his belief that people must have a relationship and common union with others in order to truly realize success in their personal and professional lives. His sessions transform his clients by teaching them how to think beyond their preconceived limits to achieve ultimate success.  Dr. Rich provides each of his clients a personalized plan that documents the steps necessary to reach and exceed their future goals through their commitment to lifelong learning.

    Currently, Dr. Rich teaches HR management, management, and organizational behavior courses as an adjunct professor at Richland College in Dallas, Texas.  He also taught business ethics, change management, critical thinking, leadership, HR management, negotiations and conflict management, strategic management, and team building as a part time and full time faculty member at Collin College in Frisco, Texas.  Some of his most notable positions held in the corporate arena include; Managing Consultant at Lucent Technologies, Director of Information Technology at Paul Quinn College, Program Manager at Nokia, Professional Services Manager at General Datatech, Senior Program/Portfolio Manager at PepsiCo, and Interim Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Trinity River Authority.  In all capacities, Dr. Rich has led people to become their best.

    When he is not working, Dr. Rich spends his time in Frisco, Texas with his son Preston II.  Dr. Rich is Christian and a member of Friendship Baptist Church of the Colony.  He is a life member and officer of the Frisco Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8273  as well as a life member of the Disabled American Veterans organization.
